The UK regional final of the 20th “Chinese Bridge” Chinese Proficiency Competition will be held online on Saturday, 26th June. Through speeches and videos, the contestants will share their Chinese learning stories and showcase their mastery of the Chinese language and culture.

The year 2021 marks the 20th anniversary of the “Chinese Bridge” brand. Over the past twenty years, the Chinese Bridge has been aiming to provide a stage for young students from all over the world to show their Chinese language ability, create a platform for mutual learning and communication, stimulate enthusiasm and interest in learning Chinese, and enhance their understanding of Chinese people and the countries culture. Over the last four years, students from LINCS of Heriot-Watt University, who were also trained by the Scottish Confucius Institute for Business and Communication, have enjoyed repeated success in the competition. This year, Brodie Lawrence, a student from LINCS will participate in the competition on behalf of Heriot-Watt University, meanwhile our contestant Robin Wilson who won the second prize in the Chinese Bridge Competition last year will serve as the host of the competition.
