Introduction to Chinese 5 – 9 July 2021 – Online Course

This one-week free programme is being offered by the University of Glasgow’s partner institution, the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China based in Chengdu, Sichuan. The programme is open to those who either have no experience of Chinese or up to approximately 20 hours experience. The programme will introduce participants to the basics of Chinese language as well as information on Chinese culture.

All the classes will be held online and the draft timetable is as follows:

• 9.30 – 11.30 (BST)  Chinese Language Classes, focussing on conversational listening and speaking
• 12.30 – 13.30 (BST) Culture lectures – Chinese calligraphy, martial arts, Sichuan cuisine, Chinese clothing, Chinese film
