This course has been designed for complete beginners who are interested in learning about interpreting as a professional activity and as a discipline, and in applying their knowledge of English and another language from Arabic, French, German, Greek, Italian, Mandarin Chinese, or Spanish to developing interpreting skills.

Week 3 English Retour Interpreting (Advanced) – In Person

This course has been designed for conference interpreters or recent interpreting graduates with English as a B language who wish to concentrate on their output in English and to interpreters who wish to add English as an active language. Course participants are expected to have mastered consecutive and simultaneous interpreting techniques before joining the course.

Week 3 British Sign Language (BSL) Interpreting Summer School (Advanced) – In person

This continuing professional development (CPD) course is aimed at English and British Sign Language interpreters. The course aims to develop advanced conference and high-level management interpreting skills to better represent those in leadership or senior-level positions. The course focuses on developing transferable English and British Sign Language (BSL) communication skills appropriate for conference and leadership positions.

Remote Interpreting for British Sign Language (BSL) Interpreters
This course aims to introduce participants to recommended remote working conditions and remote co-working techniques. The programme will cover recommended remote interpreting technical set up, recommended platforms for remote co-working, and remote co-working strategies (for preparation and feeding).

Intercultural Awareness In The Workplace
